VOICE-CONTROLLED NEUROSURGICAL ROBOT


Company: Synaptive Medical 

Role: Product Designer 

Timeline: 4 months  Modus is a robotic digital microscope that responds to voice commands. For example; a surgeon can say “Hey Modus, turn the lights on!”, and it responds accordingly. This promotes hands-free operation and reduces surgery times. 

I designed several user interfaces for this workflow-  i.e. a surgeon needed to see all the available voice commands upfront, choose a command, say it, then proceed with the operation.
